Uredinia epiphyllous, long covered by the epidermis; urediniosporen with 3-± 6 pores. Telia also epiphyllous, elongated, often confluent long covered by the epidermis; no paraphyses. Teliospores two-celled, not constricted, cone-shaped with broad apex; the wall is smooth and thin, but strongly thickened apically (but not basally). Pedicel very short, persistent.
