Uredinia mostly epiphyllous, rust brown, dispersed. Urediniospores 16-19 x 19-26 µm, verruculose, with 8-10 pores. Telia hypophyllous, covered by the epidermis, divided in compartments by rows of brown paraphyses. Teliospores 13-14 x 37-42 µm, 2-celled, clavate, hardly constricted; wall thin, except at the tip, smooth. Pedicel short, persistent.
