Only telia. They are scattered over the leaf, dark brown, up to 2 mm long, soon naked. Spores 2-celled, broadly fusiform, 14-21 x 35-52 µm, hardly constricted; wall finely reticulate, thickened towards the tip; pedicel hyaline, short, deciduous.
