Puccinia bardanae: teliospores



No host plant alternation, no aecia. First uredinia epipyhllous, on yellowish swellings of the veins, later hypophyllous: pulverulent chestnut brown; urediniospores with 3(4) pores. Telia mostly hypophyllous,dark brown. pulverulent. Teliospore 2-celled, on a short, deciduous pedicel; cell wall densely and finely verruccuose, pore of the top cell apical, the one of the basal cell near the septum.

P. bardanae is considered by some autours, among others Termorshuizen & Swertz, and also the Index Fungorum (2016), a synonym of P. calcitrapae.
