synonyms

González Fragoso distinguishes without argumentation Puccinia deflorati Probst, 1907 as a special form of carudorum on Carduus defloratus. The same applies for P. crispi Klebahn, 1914 on Carduus crispus and personata.

Many authors, including Termorshuizen & Swertz, and also the Index Fungorum (2016), consider this species conspecific with P. calcitrapae.
