No host plant alternation. Spermogonia rare, aecia, uredinia and telia amphigenous. Aecia cupulate. Uredinia small, punctuate, cinnamon brown; spores with (2)3(4) germination pores. Telia blackish brown; spores two-celled on a brown, deciduous pedicel of 50-90 µm.
