No host plant alternation. Aecia in numbers on hypertrophied parts of the leaves and petioles, pustulate; peridium inconspicuous. Uredinia not reliably known. Telia blackish brown. Teliospores two-celled, broadly elliptic, weakly constricted; wall smooth, apically not thickened; pedicel short and thin, hyaline, deciduous.
