No host plant alternation; aecia are missing. Urediia hypophyllous, cinnamon-coloured. Urediniospores 24-28 x 28-26 µm, spinulose, 2 supra-equatorial germination pores. Telia blackish brown, mainly epiphyllous, 2-4 mm, on brown dry leaf spots. Teliospores 21-24 x34-45 µm.
