uredinia mostly epiphyllous, yellow, almost without paraphyses; urediniospores with 6-7 indistinct pores. Telia dark brown, epiphyllous, divided into compartments by rows of brown clavate paraphyses. Teliospores two-celled, slender-clavate, without constriction; wall smooth, thin, somewhat thickened at the very tip. Pedicel brown, short, persistent.
