No host plant alternation, only telia: mainly epiphyllous, chestnut brown, pu;verulent, up to 3 mm large; often along the midrib, not causing leaf spots. Spores 2-celled, oval, almost smooth; pedicel up to 25 µm hyalne, fragile; the spores fall off.

However, Klenke & Scholler describe the pedicel as persistent and up to 70 µm long.
