no host plant alternation, only telia. They are dark brown, hypophyllous, but also on the veins and petioles, coalescing into groups of up to 2 cm long. Teliospores two-celled, oval, not constricted; wall uniformly thin, smooth; pedicel thin, hyaline, deciduous, up to 130 µm.
