no host plant alternation, only telia. They are dark brown, hypophyllous, scattered, small, 0.1–0.5 mm. Spores 2-celled, short-oval, 27-35 x 38-47 µm; wall conspicuously thick (3-6 µm), indistinctly verrucose. Pedicel conspicuously thin, abruptly attached, persistent, hyaline, up to 120 µm long.
