uredinia mainly hypophyllous, cinnamon brown, rather long covered by the silvery epidermis. urediniospores with 3 or 5 inconspicuous, essentially equatorial pores. Telia develop inside the uredinia, eventually brownish black, very compact, sometimes causing malformation of the sppores. Teliospores 2-celled; wall smooth; pedicel persistent, honey-coloured, about as long as the spore.
