No host plant alternation. Aecia on leaves, branches and fruits; peridium tubular, erect, 1 mm long, white to honey-coloured; aeciospsores short-oval, 20-23 µm long. Uredinia mainly on leaves and braches, up to 2 mm long, yellowish, long covered by the epidermis, without paraphyses; urediniospores globular, echinulate, with 4 dispersed spores. Telia mainly on the leaves, up to 2 mm, black, powdery. Teliospsorrs two-celled, short-elliptic, hardly constricted, 45-51 µm long, upper pore apical, lower one near the septum, wall smooth, brown, near the tip somewhat thickened. Pedicel hyaline, 10-25 µm, deciduous.
