no host plant alternation, no aecia. Uredinia and telia amphigenous. Uredinia small, light brown, spores with 3-4 germination pores, each one often capped by a papilla. Teliospores two-celled, elliptic, hardly constricted, wall with many small pits; pedicel hyaline, thin, deciduous.
