no host plant alternation. Aecia in small groups, cupulate, spores white. Uredinia and telia very small, amphigenous, on violet spots. Uredinia cinnamon brown, urediniospores with two pores. Telia black. Teliospores 2-celled, oval, hardly constricted; wall uniformly thick, finely verrucose; pedicel as long as the spore, deciduous.
