No hostplant alternation. Aecia, uredinia, and telia amphigenous. Aecia white and yellow, cupulate, on discoloured spots. Uredinia light brown, spores finely echinulate, with three +/- equatorial germination pores. Telia dark brown; spores one-celled, with warts arranged in lines.
