No host plant alternation, only telia. Telia black, up to 2 mmm, mainly hypophyllous, also on the stems, surrounded by shreds of epidermis, rather compact. Spores one-celled; wall smooth, apically somewhat thickened; pedicel brownish, thick, persistent, up to 82 µm.
