uredinia and telia brown and dark brown, respectively. Urediniospores 17-22 x 20-33 µm with (2)3(4) pores. Teliospores 17-22 x 23-27 µm, one-celled, verruculose, apically a low, brown papilla; pedicel short, deciduous.
