No host plant alternation, uredinia and telia. Uredinia often in rows, dark rust-coloured, compact; spores 22-24 x 20-30 µm, spinulose. Telia similar, bur black; spores one-celled, smooth, 20-24 x 22-25; pedicel mostly hyaline, up to 100 µm, thickest (8 µm) above.
