No host plant alternation. Spermogonia and aecia amphigenous; aecia cupulate, peridium greyish, spores orange. Uredinia and telia amphigenous. Uredinia brown, spores remotely spinulose, wall brown with (4)5(7) distributed spores, usually one of them exactly apical. Telia blackish brown, soon naked; spores one-celled, almost smooth, with an apical pore covered by a low papilla; pedicel short, hyaline, deciduous.
