Genista linifolia, from González-Fragoso (1925a): urediniopores and teliospores

gall

Uredinia brown, pulverulent; spores 19-27 x 22-27 µm, remotely spinulose, with 3-6 randomly distributed pores. Telia, blackish brown, pulverulent; spores 16-18 x 21-24 µm, one-celled, very finely verrucose, warts often in parallel vertical lines; top with a low hyaline papilla; wall apically not thickened; pedicel deciduous, short.

uredinia, telia

Fabaceae, oligophagous

Cytisus decumbens, hirsutus, procumbens, ratisbonensis, striatus, supinus, villosus; Genista anglica, germanica, linifolia, monspessulana, pilosa, radiata, sagittalis, tinctoria, versicolor; Lembotropis nigricans

González-Fragoso (1925a) lists, among many other species, also Cytisophyllum sessilifolium; probably this refers to U. cytisi-sessilifolii.

synonyms

Uromyces genistae-tinctoriae (Persoon) Fuckel ex Winter, 1884.

Gäumann treats genistae as a synonym of U. laburni. Termorshuizen & Swertz do not mention genistae, but implicitely consider it a synonym of U. pisi.
