No host plant alternation. Aecia orange, in large groups on all part of the plant, causing malformations. No uredinia. Telia small, dark brown, mostly epiphyllous, pulverulent . Teliospores one-celled, ovoid, verruculose, with an apical papilla; pedicel short, hyaline, deciduous.
