No host plant alternation. Spermogonia honey coloured, conical. Aecia in circles on discoloured spots; peridium white, spores orange, practically smooth. Uredinia and telia amphigenous, on discoloured spots. Uredinia cinnamon coloured, spores finely verrucose. Telia black; spores one-celled, wall smooth, apical part strongly thickened; on long, persistent pedicel.
