Uredinia and telia hypophyllous, pulverulent, light and dark cinnamon brown, respectively; causing brown leaf spots. Urediniospores with 3-4 pores, each one capped by a hyaline papilla; the cell wall is 1-2 µm thick. Teliospores one-celled, brown, distributed verrucose, pore apical, with a low papilla; pedicel short, thick, hyaline, deciduous.
