Uredinia and telia amphigenous, soon naked, light brown and dark brown, respectively. Urediniospores 20-22 x 23-25 µm with 3-4 germination pores, each one covered by a conspicuous papilla. Teliospores one-celled, , 18-21 x 21-25 µm, with rather coarse warts; pedicel deciduous.
