Uredinia and telia amphigenous, pulverulent, soon naked, light and dark rust brown, respectively; causing pale leaf spots. Urediniospores with 5-8 pores, each one capped by a hyaline papilla; the cell wall is 3-4 µm thick. Teliospores one-celled, brown, distributed verrucose, pore apical, with a low papilla; pedicel short, thick, hyaline, deciduous.
