No host plant alternation. Aecia often on the cotyledons, cupulate, peridium white, spores yellow. Uredinia tiny, light brown; spores with ≥ 4 dispersed germination pores. Telia dark brown; spores one-celled, smooth, wall apically somewhat thickened; pedicel up to twice as long as the spore, persistent.
