gall

long, swollen, brown striae on the leaves, covered by the epidermis; when this splits open a blackish-brown, fetid, powdery mass of spores is released. The spores measure 18-23 µm; their surface is deeply reticulate, while the top of the ridges is acute (contrary to T. olida, that may occur on the same host).
