gall

lead-coloured blisters or pustules that eventually rupture and release a blackish brown, granular-powdery mass of spore balls. The spore balls consist of 1-6(7) sporen, surrounded by a complete layer of lesser sterile cells.

On Anemone hortensis also U. anemones may occur; that species differs in the spore balls.
