on Crypsis

scattered ovaries are modified into a somewhat pulverulent dark olive brown mass of spores; initially the sorus still is covered by a greyish to brownish membrane consisting of both fungal and plant material. The infection is inconspicuous because the sori remain hidden by the glumes. Spores mostly 8-10 x 9-13 µm, moderately to coarsely verrucose.

Poaceae, monophagous

Crypsis aculeata, alopecuroides, schoenoides.
