From the pycnidia a mass of conidia is squeezed out on the upper side of the leaf

Aegopodium podagraria, Leiden, leg. Karel Brussee: in the course of the winter pseudothecia develop at the underside of the leaf: almost superficial globular bodies, in which ascospores are formed.
