mycelium amphigenous, also on the stems and in the inflorescence. Appressoria lobed or multi-lobed, mostly single. Conidia solitary, oblong-elliptic, without fibrosin bodies. Cleistothecia with 6-10 asci, that contain 5-8 spores. Appendages 10-20, equatorial, 1-1.5 x the diameter; they are rather stiff, septate, mostly rough, brown near the base, at the tip 4-6 x times in quick succession dichotomously branched.
