mycelium amphigenous, mainly hypophyllous, thin, white, generally evanescent. Appressoria ± lobed. Conidia formed solitary, without fibrosin bodies. Cleistothecia 90-180 µm, with 5-12 asci that contain 3-4 spores. Appendages 5-23, ± equatorial, 3-6 x the diameter; they are not mycelioid, flaccid, 0-2 septate, only near the basis brown; apices several times irregularly bifurcating in quick succession.
