mycelium amphigenous, dense, white, persistent. Appressoria lobed or multilobed, either solitary or paired. Conidia solitary, without fibrosin bodies, elliptic. Cleistothecia gregarious, with 3-8 asci, containing 3-6 spores. Appendages in variable numbers, sub-equatorial, shorter than the diameter; they are mycelioid, mostly simple, septate, hyaline or brown.
