mycelium amphigenous, also on the stems, mostly thin and colourless, consisting of long, hardly branching hyphae. Appressoria lobed, single or paired. Conidia solitary, oblong-elliptic, without fibrosin bodies. Cleistothecia with 6-30 asci, that contain 6-8 spores. Appendages numerous, sub-equatorial, mostly shorter than the diameter; they are mycelioid, septate, little and irregularly branched, eventually brown.
