the appendages of the cleistothecia are strongly branched distally.

gall

mycelium amphigenous. Appressoria lobed, mostly single. Conidia solitary, elliptic, without fibrosin bodies. Cleistothecia with 3-13 asci, that contain 4-7 spores. Appendages 3-20, equatorial or a bit higher, 1-2.5 x the diameter; they have 0-1 sept, are rather stiff, almost hyaline, at the tip 5-8 times dichotomously branched in quick succession.

According to Klenke & Scholler the cleistothecia are very numerous, standing in dense groups.
