mycelium amphigenous, persistent. Appressoria nipple-shaped. Conidia in short chains, without fibrosin bodies, ± lemon-shaped. Conidiophore long. Cleistothecia contain 6-20 asci with 2(-3) spores. Appendages numerous, on and below the equator, 0.3-2 x the diameter; they are mycelioid, mostly hyaline, mostly unbranched.
