mycelium amphigenous, persistent, often causing a conspicuous pattern of white spots on the leaves. Appressoria nipple-shaped. Conidia formed in short chains, without fibrosin bodies. Cleistothecia with 10-25 asci, with 2 (up to 4) spores. Appendages numerous, equatorial and subequatorial, 0.5-2.5 x the diameter; mycelioid, simple, septate, ultimately brown.
