mycelium mainly hypophyllous, white, tomentose, initially in patches, persistent; partly internal. Conidia single. The first conidium that is formed on a conidiophore is long-oval with apically an indistinct apiculus, later ones are apically rounded. Cleistothecia contain up to 20 asci, that have two spores. Appendages numerous, attached below the equator, shorter than the diameter; they are mycelioid, mostly several times irregularly branched, sometimes strongly branched.
