mycelium inconspicuous because of the dense indumentum of the host plant. Conidia single. The conidiophores emerge through the stomata; they are filiform, erect. The first conidium formed is lanceolate, with an obtuse tip; the later conidia are long-elliptic. Cleistothecia contain 5-15 asci, that have two spores. Appendages mostly numerous, attached below the equator, shorter than the diameter; they are mycelioid, mostly several times irregularly branched.
