mycelium white, mainly hypophyllous, persistent, in patches, finally covering the entire leaf. Conidiophores, long, filiform, emerging through the stomata. Conidia single, in two types. The first conidium formed is lanceolate, later ones are long-elliptic. Cleistothecia unknown.
