mycelium greyish whit, hypophyllous, (also internal). Conidia single, clavate, without fibrosin bodies. Cleistothecia hypophyllous with an equatorial circle of 4-12 stiff, acicular appendages that are abruptly swollen at their base, 1-2 as long as the diameter of the cleistothecium. Asci 10-20 with two spores.
