mycelium both internal and external; external mycelium mainly hypophyllous, thin, white. Conidia formed one by one, clavate, without fibrosin bodies. Conidiophore long and thin. Cleistothecia hypophyllous with 5-20 asci that contain 2 spores. Appendages 5-16, in an equatorial circle, 1-1.5 as long as the diameter of the cleistothecium. They are acicular, abruptly and strongly swollen at their base.
