mycelium amphigenous, also on the stems and flowers, ultimately a brownish persistent felt. Appressoria scarce, nipple-shaped. Conidia formed in chains, with fibrosin bodies. Cleistothecia gregarious, with a single ascus, containing 6-8 spores. Appendages not numerous, sub-equatorial, relatively short; myceloid, brown, flaccid, weakly septate, simple.
