mycelium amphigenous, thin, evanescent. Appressoria poorly developed to nipple-shaped. Conidia short-oval, formed in chains, with fibrosin bodies. Cleistothecia 70-90 µm, with a single ascus, containing 8 spores. Appendages 5-8, ± equatorial, 1.5-6 x the diameter; they are rather stiff, almost straight, largely brown, 2-8 septate; at the very tip they are several times dichotomously branching in quick succession.
