mycelium amphigenous, also on stems, thin, inconspicuous, greyish. Appressoria indistinct. Conidia formed in chains, with fibrosin bodies, short-elliptic. Cleistothecia with a single ascus, containing 8 spores. Appendages very numerous, attached both below and above the equator, 2-5 x the diameter; they are flexuous, basally brown, septate, simple.
