Mycelium mostly hypophyllous, rather thin. Conidia formed in chains, variable in size (micro- and macro-conidia), with fibrosin bodies. Cleistothecia hypophyllous, with 35-100 short, stiff appendages, most of them forked once of twice, the tips with a small hook.
