Bark cankers. Embedded in low warts lies a circle of ± 10 perithecia, that are connected to the outside world by a narrow channel. Asci Asci 17-22 x 138-161 µm; 8 spores, 9-11 x 24-29 µm, 1-septate, constricted, without an appendage. Also inconspicuous black acervuli where brown conidia are formed, 12-15 x 19-23 µm.
