Protomycopsis leontodontis

Protomycopsis leontodontis Büren, 1922

on Leontodon, Scorzoneroides

gall

roundish thickened spots at the underside of the leaf; also fusiform swellings of the midrib. They are witish and somewhat glassy at first, later almost dark brown; the surrounding leaf may turn red. Within the leaf tissue dark brown fungal spores are formed along the vascular bundles.
